Marie & Paolo
Although they kept similar company, Paolo and Marie officially met in October 2013. By chance the two of them were both late for a friend’s birthday dinner. Being stuck sitting together gave the two an opportunity to learn a little about each other.
With Paolo being a member of the Canadian Armed Forces and Marie an accountant with EY, the two quickly realized that they came from very different worlds. Both will agree it was their differences that kept their relationship strong.
Fast forward a couple years– Paolo was able to switch careers and move back to Toronto permanently. According to him he knew it was a sign to take their relationship to the next level.
On March 5, 2016 on a cold winter night at City Hall, Paolo got down on one knee and asked Marie to be his wife.
A year and a half later… Here they are!
