Kat & Yasin

 

Kat and Yasin met at this magical place called Scarborough Town Centre and from there they definitely hit it off – Yasin gave Kat the wrong name to find him on Facebook, they watched DVD movies with no sound because the audio wasn’t working on his tv, they hung out in his next door neighbour’s shed when they weren’t home and they even had a mutual close friend named Mary Jane.

Over the years, they stayed good friends and kept in touch through MSN Messenger. The only time they saw each other was through night school at Jean Vanier, until one day Yasin asked if he can come over. Kat wasn’t allowed to have boys over, so instead she decided to meet him at his house.

They started going out on the most romantic dates: Subway to order cold cut sandwiches; Lucky Lin’s with their $7 rice and chicken on top specials; Pho Saigon was thee spot to hit up during the cold winter days. Kat knew she was starting to fall madly in love with Yasin after he choked on his pho noodles when she made a joke, you can say she fell in love with his first nood (lol).

Three kids and 13 years later in the making of this wonderful love story, Kat and Yasin are finally getting married!

Although we may not have done it the “traditional” way, we have built an unbreakable bond and our love for each other is ever-growing.
